... It's like talking to a radio. Go on, try it. Right now, pick up a radio and flick to a channel that has someone talking on it, and try to make a conversation. Really, go ahead, I implore you.
Now what's happening?
I'll bet that the comments they make are unrelated to the ones you do.
I'll bet that they cut you off when you're in the middle of a sentence.
I'll bet that, once you've finished a speech, they'll fail to show any signs of recognising what it is you just said.
I'll bet they can't hear you.
I'll bet you feel pretty silly.
The worst part is the loneliness. I don't know about you but there is nothing that makes me feel more lonely than being ignored.
Blech. I feel emo.
No trick or treaters graced our house last night, meaning EXTRA CANDY FOR MEEEEE. My teeth feel like they're gonna commit Hari-Kiri. SPEAKING of Hari-Kiri, I totally dressed up as a ninja for halloween. A black hoodie + Some black trousers + a red scarf for the face and one for the waist and BAM. Total. Ninja. Action.
We didn't get that much candy but we had fun... and towards the end of the night my friend Ross was harrassed by a drunk man who proceeded to talk to me! It played out like:
Drunkard: Look mate... I've known you for 8 years... but if you start killing old people... you are out of order...
Ross: *Walking away with Drunkard following* Okay...
D: Seriously... it's not a laugh... mate...
*Enter Ben, slightly confused*
D: If you... if you kill old people...
Ben: *Gives Drunkard an odd look, wondering if I should be scared*
D: Uhm... we were just talking...
B: Oh okay.
D: Look I've known you two for 8 years... but killing old people is out of order... you know if the police get involed someone's getting a slap.
...
B: Yeah.
D: ... I hope you think I'm laughing.
B: We do.
D: I hope you think I'm laughing.
B: Yeah, we do.
And then we sped up a little. Except it became apparant that the man was actually following us home, so we sped up a lot.
Comics have been on hiatus but will return once we've sorted some things out. Will probably update less regularly though.
